The MedCom System includes Patient Easy-Pay, a program that reduces balance billing by pre-authorizing a credit card payment for a predetermined limit to be used to collect deductibles and installment payment for balances due. The patient simply signs a "signature on file" receipt at the time of service. Their signature authorizes the provider to charge their co-payments, deductibles, and balances not covered by insurance to their payment card as soon as the claim is adjudicated.  The Easy-Pay program also allows authorization for a recurring payment so that a patient can spread a larger balance over a series of months and the healthcare client can automatically charge the pre-authorized amount without any additional billing.
